The Future Of VFW 614 ATTAS

In foreseeable future the operation of the ATTAS research aircraft (VFW 614-G17) will be terminated. Many aviation interrested people think about the continued use of this unique aircraft. A Bremen–Group now is going to suggest a meaningful future of the ATTAS. With greate accordance „Freundeskreis VFW 614 e.V. “ (Friends Of The VFW 614), Airbus Germany / Bremen and the Bremen „Ministry of Economy and Ports“ are joining together for a return committee of the VFW 614. Suggestion to the DLR is to send the aircraft back to its place of birth.

As a symbol the VFW 614 represents the new beginning of german, civil aviation industry after the world war II and she established competent participation on the Airbus Progam.

The aircraft shall be preserved and displayed in Bremen. The ATTAS could support young people in their aviation vocational training.
